Bye Bye Xmas, Hello Xmas Sales!

By now, you're probably right in the midst of celebrating the holiday season. So where are you on the festive schedule? Are you completely caught up in the mad whirl of planning, and shopping, and driving to the mall, and shopping, and tree trimming, and shopping, and partying, and shopping, and buying gifts, and wrapping gifts, and opening gifts, and shopping, and driving to Grandma's, and shopping, and cooking, and shopping, and eating and shopping, and whatever else you manage to fit into your mad holiday schedule?

And did we say shopping? Are you ready for the after Xmas sales? How's the energy level? Have you been pacing yourself, because you know that there are such great bargains after Xmas, especially this year which so far seems to have been less than stellar for the retail industry?

And you thought that you had done your duty when you leapt out of bed in the wee hours of the morning the day after Thanksgiving to stand in line with a bunch of other committed souls, just so that you could snag those door buster specials. Not so fast, you are not done yet, not by a long way.

If you did make the ultimate sacrifice, and get up at the crack of dawn on that Friday after Thanksgiving and stood in line at Wal-Mart, Target, and Best Buy for the early opening, then you know the score. The early bird gets the biggest discounts. Your child, niece, nephew, grandchild, or other lucky recipient of your generosity, is the one who's enjoying the battery powered car that you managed to snag as a result of your commitment to black belt shopping.

And wouldn't you know it? Just when you thought that you were done shopping, here are the after Xmas sales. Almost before you're done actually celebrating Xmas, here are the post Xmas bargains. So now, you have to be ready to do battle all over again, perhaps for the best deals of the season.

Do you think that by now the retailers will be even more motivated to move out their excess Xmas inventory? There's a whole new set of opportunities to help yourself to some great bargains, but you have to hurry. They'll be gone in a flash. So what's next on the holiday agenda? Well, before you know it, it will be New Year, and the very merry go round can start all over again.
