Wal-Mart Voice Activated Product Locator System
In the largest stores it is often hard to find what you are looking for and at a Super Wal-Mart with 188,000 skus, the store helpers cannot possibly know where everything is and generally they are busy helping other customers. Thus I proposer a Voice Activated Product Locator Kiosk System, you simply say;
And the Kiosk says back; "Did you say Soy Sauce?" - "Yes"
Kiosk says; "Okay thank you, soy sauce is here" (displaying a map of the store with a giant W, you are here).
If you notice now Book Stores like Barnes and Noble have Kiosks to help you find books so that they can save money on labor from employees. It makes sense, Cents too. Remember shareholders equity and quarterly profits. Why would anyone propose such an innovation?
Well, because I spent 20 minutes trying to find the Soy Sauce in a Wal-Mart, no not a Super Wal-Mart, an old style one up for renovation, but finally I gave up and tracked down a manager who told me that for some reason they don't carry it there?
Great, well at least I know I am not blind, crazy or stupid, no wonder I couldn't find it, but if there are not enough employees on the floor, you are in trouble, thus a solid robust voice operated kiosk will solve this problem, result in more sales and make customers happy to shop at their favorite stores. Think on it, imagine such a new invention, it would revolutionize the retail industry.
